Secret??

Secret part! We held year-end party in 28Th. My best friends gathered in my friend's house. I prepared nabe. Today's nabe was chanko nabe. I like chanko! We ate many foods and snacks. Thanks to them, I had pimples all over my face....
After all, we played tramp game! We are addicted to tramp game especially, "multimillionaire" and concentration.
We were very sleepy so we couldn't where cards are. I laughed !! We enjoyed this party I want to do again! Next year??

Christmas Party♡

Merry Christmas!!! We held on a Christmas party in my friend's house. We are best friends when we were high school students. I was long time no see. After, I finished my part time job, I went to cake shop near my house and I bought a Christmas's cake. 25Th is my friends birthday so I asked cook to put a birthday massage on the cake. At 10:00 PM, it started. we enjoyed talking and eating. Yuka brought tramp game so we enjoyed it. I was laughing all the time. I want to hold this party next year!!
Next time, I want to bring a birthday present for my best friend.

Hiroshima

I went to Hiroshima with my friend Mai. We went to Hiroshima to join Live. We love same musician. It is Validelight. They are mixture band. We like them. It is second time to join their live.
Validelight mean is maybe very delight I think. The day 22 morning, I left home to Kumamoto stastion at 6. I arrived at Kumamoto station about 7 a.m. Mai came late, because she overslept. I rugh rather than I get angry.
8:41 we left Kumamoto station to Omuta by train. Why we got on train? not shinkansen? Yes! We went to Hiroshima by train. It took about 7 hours. We were very tired. We left kumamot station at 8:41, we arrived Hiroshima station at 16:30. It was very long time we got on train.
First, we went to Live house "Hiroshima Cave-be" and we ate Udon. I don't know why we ate Udon in Hiroshima.
Opening Oct was Senpuki mania. Their songs makes me happy! I like it.
Validelight was so cool! and their songs makes me very fun! I clapped my hands and waved my arms. After live performance, Mai and I took picture with Validhlight and they invited us end the live with a drinking party. I thought it was dream.
Next day, after we ate Okonomiyaki, we left Hiroshima station at 12. I arrived my home at about 21:30. I was very tired but it was very good experience. I want to go Hiroshima again not using train.

About Kumamoto

Symbol

Kumamoto has a lot of kind symbols. Prefectural mark is red and white color. The mark is a symbol of Ku in katakana, center of Kyusyu and land-form. Prefectuar tree is Kusunoki （Camphor tree）. This tree is planted in Kumamoto castle and you can see this in each places for example shrine and temple. Perpetual flower is Gentian. This flower start to come out in October and you can see this in grassland in Aso. Prefecture Bird is Lark. We can see the lark anywhere. The lark became a symbol of Kumamoto as an agricultural prefecture. Perpetual Fish is Prawn. The prawn is well known product in Ariake Sea and Shiranui Sea.

Personality

We use 'Higo moccos' as a word that we suggest own personality. It means obstinate in dialect. Moreover, the people of Kumamoto prefecture are got the impression that they are coarse. And then, people who lived in Kumamoto defined that beauty is to hold on something with wiping the sweat off from their forehead. We think long history here influence them. Why Kumamoto is called "Hinokuni". Hinokuni means land of fire in word for word translation. There was caldera volcano in Kumamto that is the reason why Kumamoto is called "Hinokuni". People of Kumamoto prefecture's personality is that are to say stubborn and passionate.

History of Kumamoto

Kumamoto has a moderate temperature, abundant water supply and endless hills. A lot of people lived there. Rice cultivation began earlier in the Yayoi period compared to other areas.In the Burial Mound Age,prosperous and powerful people called "The Hinokimi" lived in Kumamoto. In early modern ages, Kiyomasa Kato ruled the northern part of the prefecture, while Yukinaga Konishi held authority in the south. After the fall of Konishi in 1600, in the battle that called Sekigahara, Kiyomasa Kato who builds a Kumamoto castle won Yukinaga Konishi, and unified Higo. In 1878, the old domains were replaced by prefectures. Kumamoto domain became Kumamoto Prefecture, Hitoyoshi domain became Hitoyoshi Prefecture, and Amakusa was temporarily incorporated into Nagasaki Prefecture.

Famous places in Kumamoto

Kumamoto has many good places to sightseeing.

One of the famous places is Kumamoto castle. It is located in the center of Kumamoto and was built by Kiyomasa Kato in 1607. The signature curved stone walls known as musha-gaeshi. It is the 400Th anniversary memory by 2007.

Mt. Aso is also popular in Kumamoto. It is the largest volcano in Japan and has the biggest caldera of all over the world. Its caldera is 25 km across north to south and 18 km across east to west. The caldera has a circumference of around 120 km (75 miles), although sources vary on the exact distance.

Japanese like spas. Kumamoto has many good spas and famous places are Kurokawa, Tamana, Kikuchi and Yamaga. Kurokawa is the most famous place about spas in Kumamoto. It is a spa in Minamioguni town, Aso gun, Kumamoto Prefecture that is very popular among men and women of all ages. There are many spas, Japanese-style hotels and many sweets shops. Many people visit there every year. Most Japanese like spas, because they relax them. The Americans are not accustomed soaking in bath tabs, but the Japanese have those habits. There are spas that we can see beautiful view such as the sea or mountains. Kurokawa spa is very nice place.

Festivals in Kumamoto

We would like to tell you about dance and music in Kumamoto. There are a lot of festival in Kumamoto for example, Hinokuni (Land of Fire) Festival, the great festival of fujisaki hachimangu shrine, Myouken festival in Yatsushiro and so on. Like this, there are some festival each area in Kumamoto. We will intoroduce about Hinokini Festival. The first time, this festival held in fifty three of showa. Hinokuni Festival hold on August in Kumamoto city. About 65 groups take part in this festival.People who join gather in center of Kumamoto city. They wear special clothes or dress. Each group dance original dance fit to 'Otemoyan' music. It is an original song. From the very beginning, this song was Japanese style room's song. It has two pattern. One is slow temp, another is up temp like the samba. I like both of them.

Foods

Kumamoto has a lot of traditional and special foods. We all often eat it. We would like to introduce you some of them. “Basashi” is the most famous food in Kumamoto. It is raw horse meat, one of the sashimi. It is slightly sweet, tender, low in fat, and high in protein. We usually eat it with soy sauce and grated ginger or garlic. It is little expensive. "Karashi Renkon" is crammed lotus root's holes with mustard. The whole is fried. It has a sharp taste, but very delicious. We usually eat it with mayonnaise.

Book review2-16

I had read this book. The title is Countdown to midnight. The story: Joe can't understand his father's job. His fatherb is assistant at SFC. Joe asks father and Dr Kerr about SFC but they don't answer. Joe thinks he doesn't like Dr Kerr. One day, it is a hot night, Joe can't sleep so he thinks "why won't Dad talk about his work?" and he belives that he is too young to talk about it. But Professer Carter have another reason. This is because the SFC project is top-secret.

Movie review

A genius scientist named Dr. Jumba Jookiba (David Ogden Stiers) is imprisoned for illegally experimenting and creating bad robot. He creates Number 626 (Chris Sanders). He is very cute, little, blue robot with four arms, tow legs and antennae. He has strong power.

Captain Gantu (Kevin Michael Richardson), a shark like alien, is assigned to take 626 to a penal colony, but during the trip to there, 626 escapes from spacecraft, and crash lands on the small island. It is Hawaii, on Earth. 626 is taken to health center as a strange dog.

One day, Lilo who is a little girl and her older sister Nani goes to health center to buy dog as a Lilo’s friend. Lilo is a vigorous girl so she doesn’t have friends and their parents had an accident so she lost affection. Lilo is lonely and a bit of an outcast. Nani decided to give her new friend. Lilo likes 626 when she sees 626. She names “Stitch”. Stitch initially attempts to escape from the island but he finds it is impossible because his weak point is water so he can’t swim.

Stitch always destroy something and eat foods. Lilo and Nani cannot control Stitch. One day, Social worker Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames) visits Nani and Lilo to improve their living conditions and he will take Lilo to foster center. Nani loses her job because of Stitch. She tries to find her new job with Lilo and Stitch to live with Lilo but is unable to secure a position as Lilo's attempts to tame Stitch by having him behave as Elvis Presley generally lead to disaster.

After one such tiring day, David offers Nani and Lilo a day of surfing at the beach. While the three of them are trying to help Stitch learn how to surf, Jumba and Pleakley attempt to capture Stitch from underwater, leading to Stitch grabbing onto Lilo and dragging her under. David manages to rescue both Lilo and Stitch, but Nani believes that Stitch was attacking Lilo.

However, Cobra Bubbles saw the entire event take place. He tells Nani that it's time to separate from Lilo from her and will be back in the morning to pick Lilo up. Stitch realizes that it was his fault and returns to Lilo's house alone. After seeing Lilo and Nani show their feelings for being together as a family, he decides to leave and hide in the woods feeling lost.

Jumba and Pleakley are fired for not capturing Stitch. The Grand Councilwoman assigns Captain Gantu to capture Stitch. This leads Jumba, no longer bound by Galactic Code, to aggressively chase Stitch in one last effort. He finds Stitch in the woods and finds out that Stitch is waiting for family to arrive. Jumba says that Stitch doesn't have his family. Before Jumba can catch him, Stitch runs from Jumba.

Meanwhile, Lilo is quiet and Nani asks what's wrong. She says that Stitch left. David then confronts Nani and tells her he as fond a job for her. Nani tells Lilo to stay at home and not to answer the door. Stitch comes back and meets Lilo in her home which also leads Jumba to it. Jumba and Stitch begin to fight inside Lilo's house, while Lilo calls Cobra Bubbles calls for help. Lilo gets out of the house just in time before Jumba and Stitch cause plasma cannon explosion that destroys Lilo's home. Nani returns home just after this occurs; unfortunately Cobra is already there and is taking Lilo away. Seeing Nani and Cobra arguing, Lilo runs off into the woods and encounters Stitch. He reveals his true alien form which makes Lilo angry. But before Lilo can say any more, Gantu captures both of them. Stitch manages to escape but is then confronted by Nani. At this point, Stitch finally speaks to her in English and shows that he is an alien and that he does understand the meaning of ohana, which means "family”, he is taught by Lilo. Jumba is able to capture Stitch in this moment of understanding, but Nani pleads Jumba to let Stitch free and to help save Lilo from Gantu, and he reluctantly does so.

Employing Jumba's spaceship, they and Gantu give chase around the Hawaiian mountains. Stitch manages to land on Gantu's ship and attempts to free Lilo but Gantu reconfigures the angle of the afterburners to blast Stitch off the ship. In a momentary state of unconsciousness, Stitch wakes up just in time to save a frog from being run over by a gasoline truck. Hijacking the same truck, Stitch drives it straight into an active volcano. Stitch taunts Gantu and releases the fuel into the lava. The explosion launches Stitch straight into Gantu's cockpit. Gantu tries to smash Stitch but ends up getting thrown off the ship. Stitch rescues Lilo just in time before the ship explodes. When everyone lands in the ocean, David is coincidentally surfing nearby and he helps transport everyone back to shore.

Immediately, The Grand Councilwoman arrives to arrest Stitch, but becomes reluctant to do so when she sees that he has reformed into a civilized creature. Prodded by Cobra Bubbles (who is revealed to be a former CIA agent who had previously met the Grand Councilwoman at Roswell, NM), Lilo presents her certificate of adoption which makes her Stitch's legal owner, causing the Grand Councilwoman to release the little creature. Stitch's sentence to life in exile provides a loophole; he is now in Lilo and Nani's care as his warders. The movie ends with both Jumba and Pleakley staying on earth to help rebuild Nani, Lilo, and Stitch's home with some of their own alien technology, and with Stitch being fully accepted into Lilo's family. They live together happily.

Book review2-15

I read "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" written by Mark Twain. I was really impressed. Meet Huckleberry Finn and travel with hi, on an exciting series of adventures down the Mississippi River. Find out how Huck ingeniously escapes from his cruel father; how he cleverly stops a couple of criminals from stealing a family's fortune; and how, his friend Tom sawyer, he saves a runaway slave. I think Hack is very clever and kind boy. The last scene is very impressed me. I like this story and I learned a lot of important things.
